Entek OPI-420 is a combined Operator Interface and Embedded Controller in one complete package. OPI-420 offers a cost effective solution as a versatile display and programmable control device that can be used for a wide range of commercial or industrial applications by Original Equipment Manufacturers. It comes with plug-in input/output module options, and on-board serial ports for auxiliary devices.

All I/O cards can be easily plugged in to the motherboard and secured with the mounting components provided with the unit. Plug-in pins and sockets are gold plated for rust protection and good noise immunity.

COMBO I/O CARD (Custom design I/O combination card)

This card can be custom designed to accommodate any number and combination of digital and analog I/O. The I/O properties are the same as the individual I/O cards. The maximum number of I/O are also limited to the same maximum I/O count as the individual cards.

The most important aspect of this combination I/O card feature is that you can plug this card into the motherboard the same way as the other I/O cards are plugged and if necessary you can stack additional individual I/O cards on top of this Combo I/O board to increase your I/O count. Again the maximum number of I/O are also limited to the same maximum I/O count as the individual cards.

Wire termination options can be fixed screw terminals, pluggable screw terminals and flat cable connectors.

OPTION CARD WITH ONBOARD MICRO-CONTROLLER

This option card can be used for many different applications such as data acquisition, complex mathematical calculations and control functions, Ethernet connectivity and web server functions. The card is connected to the base motherboard and can be accessed through the LCD display and keys on the the operator interface. It is also possible to write programs in the motherboard CPU that can display or write to the controller on this option card. On board battery backup memory enables to store data over extended periods of power outage.

INSTALLATION OF MICRO-CONTROLLER OPTION CARD

The option card is mounted on the motherboard using the mounting components provided with the unit. A flat cable connects all signal wires between the motherboard and the option card. Power to the option card is also provided from the motherboard with this flat cable.
